Venus Has Landed

Greetings, earthlings.

I was born into this world as Stephanie, but back home on Jupiter, they called me Venus Se7en.

I am a storyteller or raconteur for my fellow word nerds and logophiles, whose artistry is conveyed through written, visual, and performance arts.

In addition to being, as James Baldwin once put it, ‘a kind of poet,’ I am also an indie filmmaker, mime, vocalist, and painter.

I’m an anachronistic AFROnaut, a melomaniac, and a pretty freaking hilarious Sagittarius.

This profile will combine compositions from my blog, BE WRITE BLACK, and newer pieces. Essentially, whatever I am led to share will be here.

I tell the stories that occupy my heart.

My world and work include the arts, history, activism, liberation, Blackness, and spirituality. Thus, you will access many of my zany or rousing introspections in this segment of my space.

I won’t share anything I wouldn’t care to know myself, nor anything without meaning.

I, like everyone else, am only part of a bigger picture, and I aim to use creativity to complete my mission. With that said, I hope you dig it here.
